Cambridge IGCSE Biology, topic 8

Transport in plants

Plants move water, mineral ions and the products of photosynthesis around their bodies in two transport tissues, xylem and phloem. Water is taken up by root hair cells and pulled up to the leaves, where it is lost by transpiration. Sucrose and amino acids are moved by translocation from sources to sinks.

Subtopics

Work through them in order. Each one has notes, exam questions and flashcards, and a PDF of each.
